The Kennelman is the perfect choice for up to 6 guests. With two ground floor bedrooms and one bedroom on the first floor, there is room for everyone to find their own space. Two of the bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, and the third has its own bathroom right next door.
The well appointed living area offers plenty of comfortable seating as well as large dining table and spacious, well equipped kitchen. With vintage crockery, furniture and decorative pieces, the design is practical, stylish and cosy. The vaulted ceiling boasts roof windows that are perfect for viewing the stars from inside the comfort of your cottage
Up to two well behaved dogs are allowed in this property. We provide dog biscuits, throws, bowls for food and water, and a dedicated doggy bin. At the edge of the courtyard there is also a stone trough with cold water hose, perfect for washing muddy boots or paws after a long walk! The walled garden is south facing and is the ideal place to sit with a drink in the evening and watch the sunset.
The facilities on the estate include a summer house, garden games, electric car charging point and picturesque locations to enjoy the views or listen to birdsong. You might even be lucky enough to see otters in the stream of deer grazing in the grounds. There is a secure cycle store room for those who wish to bring their own cycle. Or why not hire an electric bike to be brought to you? It is a fun way to explore the National Park from the lane that runs past the gate.
There is a shop, petrol station, antique centre, adventure playground, pub and café within easy walking distance in the village. There is also easy road access to the market town of Alnwick with its world-famous castle, gardens, Lillidorei, Barter Books, independent shops, galleries and eateries. Beaches, Holy Island, golf courses, castles and steam railway are also easily reached by a short drive from the cottages.
