About & Contact

Family and pet friendly luxury cottage

One of the larger barns to be converted, the Old Cow Stall was used in the very early days by Andrew’s grandfather for milking cows by hand (with a stall and bucket!). Due to a sympathetic conversion in 2010 this barn provides spacious living areas, light and airy in the summer months and warm and comforting in the winter. The Old Cow Stall is set back form the main village lane and is situated between Bob’s Barn and The Milking Parlour. The Old Cow Stall sleeps four guests in two spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the second can be either super king or twin. Each bedroom is well furnished with flat screen televisions and space for cots. The main family bathroom has a full size bath and shower, toilet and headed towel rail. The front door leads you into a sociable open plan ground floor area. The living space has comfortable leather sofas and matching furniture throughout. The kitchen/dining area is of modern design and comprehensively equipped with a family size fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher all included in the integrated kitchen. The backdoor opens out into the enclosed private patio with seating for four people and looks out onto the private hillside where deer, foxes and pheasants regularly visit. Good WiFi access runs throughout Pitt Farm with Waitrose, Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco regularly delivering goods to the cottages. There is off road parking for two cars under the Old Dutch barn. A two minute walk up the village lane finds you at a public footpath leading to the heritage coastal footpath or at The Fountain Head Inn serving renowned locally brewed beers and food.
