Gaze at the night sky from the warming hot tub. We’re in a Dark Skies Reserve, so on clear nights the canopy of stars is magnificent. We’re surrounded by countryside and you can enjoy the stunning views across the undulating South Downs National Park towards the hills of the Isle of Wight.

Book exclusive swim sessions in our tranquil heated indoor pool, with hoist and Jacuzzi. Soothe your cares away in the infrared sauna and steam room during your bookable swim sessions.

Our Games Room is ideal on a rainy day – there’s something for all ages from baby gyms to a full-size ping-pong table. And check out our onsite shop offering gifts, soft drinks and frozen farmhouse kitchen meals.

Local area

We are surrounded by the beautiful Hampshire countryside and have placed laminated walks within the information folder for you to discover this wonderful part of the world. The walks start from the front door and range from 30 minutes to several hours, and some include pit stops at our lovely award-winning country pubs.

Explore Hampshire’s beautiful countryside and coastline and the nearby towns and cities for some culture, retail therapy, fine dining, and the abundance of attractions to suit all ages. Ancient market town Petersfield and the historic cities Winchester and Portsmouth are each 30 minutes away. We’ll send you our digital guide when you book, which has a multitude of ideas for things to do and attractions to visit.

Accommodation

Cosy up around the woodburner and let the underfloor heating warm your toes! The sitting and dining room is open plan and can dine up to 12 people.

Discover the high quality and fully equipped kitchen with appliances including dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and Nespresso coffee machine.

All 4 bedrooms have TVs, and are en-suite, with one bathroom that can be used as a family bathroom. Blackout blinds and interlined curtains in each bedroom ensure a restful sleep and the comfy beds can be configured as twins or superkings.

The enclosed garden is a perfect place to relax and for children and pets to play outdoors. It’s a corner plot with a hot tub, patio, garden furniture, barbecue and a small lawn capturing the evening sun.

Early Mist is dog friendly and two dogs are welcome. They receive their own doggy welcome hamper which includes a new toy and treats, and there’s a dog shower in the car park to wash off those muddy paws after a countryside walk.

Park in the two spaces outside the front door, or there’s ample parking in the main car park. Have an Electric Vehicle? There are EV charging points in the main car park and charging can been accessed via the VoltShare App at 50 pence per kWh unit. Superfast WiFi is free of charge.

Meet the owner

Andrew & Katherine Graham

We look forward to welcoming you to our cottages at Wallops Wood. Katherine’s family have been farmers here since 1938. In 2013/14 we converted a 1950s farm building on the site of the Old Hambledon Racecourse to form 5 of the cottages. In memory of this the cottages are named after Grand National winners. The 6th cottage is a refurbished farm manager's cottage. The 7th and 8th cottages plus indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi with accessible hoist, converted from a second 1950s farm building, were completed in May 2018. We've tried to create a real home-from-home, with the emphasis on 'access for all' irrespective of age or physical ability. We are very lucky to live and work in such a beautiful part of southern England, with so much to see and do locally year-round, and we enjoy sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm for the area with our guests. We have a great team to help us, and everyone will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.
