For little ones, Peppa Pig World at Paulton's Park is a great choice for a day out, as is Marwell Zoo, which has hundreds of animals within a 140-acre park. And Manor Park Farm is a delightful farmstead where you can meet friendly farmyard animals as you stroll around site. All within a 30 minute drive from Wallops Wood!
Bigger children love The Watercress Line - a lovingly restored steam railway which runs nearby. For more sophisticated tastes, take a tour of The Bombay Sapphire Distillery or nearby vineyards Hambledon, Exton or Quob Park Estate.
Winchester and Petersfield are great for some retail therapy, as is Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quays where there are designer outlets, and you can stay a while at one of the wonderful eateries and admire the views over Portsmouth Harbour.
We are surrounded by the beautiful Hampshire countryside and have placed laminated walks within the information folder for you to discover this wonderful part of the world. The walks start from the front door and range from 30 minutes to several hours, and some include pit stops at our lovely award-winning country pubs.
Downstairs in Scots Pine is the open plan kitchen/dining and sitting area with woodburner (including a basket of wood) and underfloor heating. Two en-suite accessible bedrooms, both with wetroom, have patio doors to a balcony and a door between the living/dining/kitchen area and the bedroom areas ensure privacy.
Enjoy Scots Pine’s fully equipped kitchen which has 2 ovens (including a combi oven with microwave incorporated), 2 fridges, a freezer, 2 dishwashers, washer/dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, Aeroccino and complimentary Nespresso capsules. The oak dining table seats 10 for the whole group to dine together.
Dine al fresco on the large deck which has teak outdoor dining table and chairs, and gaze at the woodland view from the cosy rattan furniture. Two sets of patio doors from the open plan living area lead to the decking and the enclosed lawned garden and hot tub are accessed via steps. For wheelchair users, the accessible ramp from the front door leads to the garden via a paved path. The hot tub is not yet accessible.
Upstairs are a TV lounge and three en-suite bedrooms (one with bath) and each room has patio doors to a shared balcony. Enjoy a restful sleep in our comfy beds. All bedrooms have blackout blinds, and TV.
We welcome up to 2 dogs, and each pooch gets their own welcome pack including new toy and collar tag engraved with our contact details.
Parking for 4 cars is directly outside the house with additional parking available in the main car park. A paved area leads from the dedicated parking bays to the front door via an accessible ramp.
Complimentary WiFi is included and there are double sockets and USB charging points throughout.
