A lovely stone built cottage on courtyard with two other cottages and the swimming pool building.
Downstairs the kitchen, well equipped with dishwasher, is open plan with the kitchen/dining area. The television is a Smart TV and there is a gorgeous log burner. There is a fine view from the main window. Upstairs to the bathroom and bedroom with views and king-size bed.
Outside is a private enclosed terrace with garden furniture, private hot tub, barbecue, chimnea and views over the animal paddocks. Combinations of our smaller cottages can be let together to sleep up to 10 – dining facilities can be arranged in Aylesbury Cottage to allow you to eat as a group. Full WiFi.
There is a beautiful indoor pool kept toasty all year round. There are 16 acres of grounds with woodland, meadows, streams and ponds. We are home to all manner of wildlife including badgers, foxes and buzzards. There is a huge, fenced animal enclosure with alpacas, ducks, chickens, sheep, peacocks, pigs, and even goats.
Combe Martin village is a mile away. It has a lovely, sheltered beach, famous for its rock pools, together with shops, pubs, and a museum. It has a rich history and lively events including a yearly carnival.
Exmoor National Park is just up the hill, half a mile away. It has cliffs (England’s highest), small bays, lovely walks, wildlife, wooded coombes, prehistoric remains, ancient castles and churches and unspoilt small towns and villages.
There are miles and miles of huge wide sandy beaches just 20 minutes away – brilliant for surfing. There is trendy Croyde; miles long Woolacombe and vast, usually deserted, Saunton Sands with its internationally famous dune Nature Reserve.
There are lovely small towns all around with full modern facilities but also with their own unique attractions. Lovely Lynton and Lynmouth linked by a water driven cliff railway. Pretty Ilfracombe with its picturesque harbour now the setting for Damien Hirst’s massive statue – love it or hate it you must see it. Barnstaple with its famous Pannier Market, Bideford with its ancient bridge.
There are so many attractions and activities nearby. Zoo, wildlife park, castles, museums, stately homes, gardens, riding, golf, surfing, sailing, boat trips, fishing, walking, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and much more.
Aylesbury has room for a cot, which can be provided, and all the facilities and equipment you will need if travelling with a little one. There are extrensive outside play areas and an indoor soft play barn.
