Sleeps 24 - 12 bedrooms & 12 bathrooms in comfort

Three superb properties providing accommodation for up to 24 situated at the end of A No Through Road where there is very little traffic on the edge of a farm. Monnington House is a real gem and sleeps 12 and next door is Garden Cottage which sleeps 6. A brief walk through the field or down the lane leads you to the idyllic Cider Mill which sleeps 6. All 12 bedrooms have their own bathroom/shower room.  

Monnington House has 6 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms and Garden Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a ground floor bedroom in Garden Cottage which is suitable for those with limited mobility.

A one minute walk through a field takes you to the Cider Mill which is brand new. It is on one level throughout. It has a wonderfully spacious open plan kitchen/sitting room and 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

All three properties have bags of charm and are a place for all seasons - cosy up by the woodburners on a cold winters evening and enjoy crispy, misty walks or lap up the the gardens and south facing terraces when the sun comes out and enjoy long lazy lunches.

All three are luxurious with spacious accommodation and have high quality beds and bedding.  Each bedroom has its own bathroom giving that extra bit of added extravagance and privacy making your stay really special. The main house is geared up for numbers (24).  The kitchen is well equipped and stocked and the dining area seats 24. To help you entertain and cater  there are 2 electric ovens, a 4 door aga in the winter months, 2 dishwashers, 3 fridge freezers throughout plus plenty of pots and pans and crockery.

On site there is plenty to do - enjoy the large 2 acre garden which is private and quiet or play football in the huge playing field. For rainy days and winter nights there is a rustic table tennis room and a games room with pool table and table football to enjoy.

A walk straight from the door through the farm leads to the Wye Valley Walk or alternatively venture out on the numerous nearby trails and head for a choice of 2 pubs.  Bulmers Angling Club welcome new member and have a beat on th River Wye in Monnington.   Cycling is popular as the immediate roads are very quiet. Nearby visits to the Weir Gardens are enjoyed which is a lovely garden on the banks of the River Wye. You can pick up organic vegetables there grown in the kitchen garden when in season. The Rare Breeds Farm at Kington is enjoyed by young and  old and only 4 miles away. Children love a visit to the famous Shepherds Ice Cream parlour in Hay on Wye and canoeing the Wye is a usual activity.

Great local caterers work in the house often and provide lovely local food at a reasonable cost. All major supermarkets deliver from Hereford. The farm shop only 1.8 miles from the house is huge and sells great local produce and ready made food.

For celebratioins and holidays wonderful memories are made here.

I manage and run Monnington House and the Cider Mill. My husband was brought up in the house. I used to run a National Lettings Department throughout London and the South West. I have 2 children who are now grown up and live in London but do visit regularly. When I am not busy with the House and Cider Mill I love cooking, being in my garden and growing flowers and vegetable, walking my 3 black Labradors who I have bred and being with my friends.
