About & Contact

Gorgeous mill house on one floor and lovely garden

This brand new mill house will be ready by the end of February. It is situated almost at the end of a No Through Road on the edge of a family farm. It is on one floor only and suitable for those with limited mobility.

The 3 double bedrooms have high quality zip and link beds and bedding. Each bedroom has its own bathroom/shower room. The wonderful open plan kitchen sitting room is spacious, has gorgeous views over the garden and fields and has an attractive cathedral ceiling with exposed beams.

The property has been beautifully furnished and decorated and is suitable for families or groups. The lovely well stocked garden has flowers beds and lawn. A south facing terrace with garden furniture and barbecue is perfect for lazy lunches and scrumptuous suppers!

This property can be booked individually as a sleeps 6 or together with Monnington House as a total sleeps 24.

The farm shop Oakchurch is 1.8 miles from the house and sells fabulous local meats, vegetables and home made lasagnes, cottage pies, etc. The house is situated on the Wye Valley Walk or you can head for a choice of pubs within 16 minutes walk.

If you fancy getting out why not explore the Brecon Beacons or canoe down the Wye. Mountain biking and quad biking are popular and a visit to the Rare Breeds Farm at Kington is always a winner which is only 4 miles away. A potter in Hay on Wye could lead you to Shepherds Ice Cream Parlour which is 'possibly' the best ice cream shop ever or a browse in Richard Booths Bookshop where you can watch a movie in his luxurious cinema at the rear of the shop.

The National Trust Weir Gardens are nearby and  built on the edge of the River Wye. Many guests visit it and buy their local organic produce.   The Mappa Mundi in Hereford Catherdral is well worth a visit.

Meet the owner

Anna Pearson Gregory

I have been married to Hugh for some time! Monnington House is where Hugh was brought up - in idyllic Herefordshire. Hugh's family live on the farm. I used to run a large letting department for a national estate agent. I thought I had come across every problem but in this industry you are always learning! The house has been operational since 2013 and in February we shall open up the Cider Mill.
