Monnington House offers award winning accommodation for large groups and multi-generational families in the beautiful Wye Valley. It's a great property appealing to groups and families who wish to relax, spend time together and make lovely memories. Sleeping up to 12 spread there are 6 double bedrooms and 6 bathrooms amidst huge private and peaceful gardens and grounds of at least 2 acres and a large playing field with football goals. In the outbuildings there is a games room with pool table and table football and a rustic table tennis room. There are two outdoor terraces, one has outdoor sofas and chairs and the other has an outdoor table to seat 18. The properties are surrounded by cider apple orchards and rural farmland. An idyllic and peaceful setting for large group getaways close to the River Wye and almost equidistant from the beautiful market town of Hay on Wye and cathedral city of Hereford. Monnington House has a great well equipped working kitchen with huge working island where you can chop and chat. It is supplied with generous amounts of crockery, glassware, pots and pans for 18. Here catering is sociable, easy and fun. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining area which has a long refectory style table to seat 18, making lunches and dinners for large numbers simple. French doors lead onto the south facing garden and terrace where you can admire the large garden, enjoy the peace and stillness and listen to birdsong and sheep going about their business. You may hear the odd tractor too at work in the cider orchards. The snug connects with the dining area and hall and is full of books, has underfloor heating, a woodburner, a large sofa and tv. For cosying up, watching TV and playing games there is an additional sitting room with 3 sofas with smart TV. I manage and run Monnington House, Garden Cottage and The Cider Mill jointly with my husband. My husband was brought up in the house. We have been offering holiday accommodation since 2013. I used to run a National Lettings Department throughout London and the South West. I have 2 children who are now grown up and live in London but do visit regularly. When I am not busy with the houses, I love to cook particularly when using fruit and vegetables from my garden which I have grown. I breed my own dogs and currently have 2 black labradors being Truffle and her daughter Plum. I love walking them every day and enjoy yoga. I love ceramics and textiles which hopefully you will spot in the houses.
