Features include idyllic rural location, welcome pack full of local produce, log burner, far-reaching views, lots of walks straight from the door, family friendly activities nearby, red squirrels in the garden and an enclosed pebbled courtyard garden (which is perfect for dogs and alfresco lunch in the sunshine!).
Facilities include a very well equipped kitchen, property App with lots of pre-arrival information, underfloor heating, bike storage, bath robes, Bath House toiletries, stargazing kit, 55” Smart TV, Amazon Alexa with Spotify subscription, Bluetooth speaker, games, books, maps, washer and dryer.
Dogs are very welcome and are provided with doggy welcome treats, basket, bucket, sponge, shampoo, towel, outside tap and dog waste bin.
The lovely village of Ravenstonedale is a 5 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk and has two excellent dog friendly pubs including the 2023 Top 50 UK Gastropub The Black Swan. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen is just a short drive and we are also within easy reach of the Lake District and wider Yorkshire Dales too - although there are plenty of walks and bike rides straight from the door.
The Green Cumbria has lots of eco credentials too with heating and hot water coming from on site heat pumps, solar panels, battery storage, private bore hole, 100% green energy supplier, recycling, eco cleaning products, eco toiletries, recycled toilet tissue, kitchen rolls, etc, ethically sourced soap / shampoo, responsibly sourced firewood and 100% local produce in our welcome pack.

The Carthouse can be booked on its own for groups of up to 6 or can be booked with the other properties at The Green Cumbria for group sizes of 10 or 14.
