The Buchanan is a beautiful three-bedroom, three-bathroom lodge overlooking the rolling countryside of Airhouses Farm. Sleeping up to six guests, it is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing Scottish Borders escape, with Edinburgh just 20 miles away.
The large open-plan living space is made for spending time together. High vaulted ceilings, wooden floors and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with natural light and bring the beautiful countryside views right inside. Two large, comfortable sofas provide the perfect place to relax, watch the Smart TV or enjoy music through the Bluetooth speakers. With 5G WiFi throughout, you can stay connected when you need to – although you may prefer to switch off and enjoy the peace.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay, while the dining area has a beautiful walnut table seating six. When the weather allows, head through the patio doors onto the raised, gated decking for an al fresco meal overlooking the farm.
There are three spacious bedrooms, all with luxurious white linens, robes, leisure towels and toiletries. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom also has a super king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Upstairs, the studio bedroom has two single beds which can be made into a super king-size bed on request. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom have attractive sloping ceilings, with full head height through the centre.
The real star of The Buchanan is the private hot tub, tucked away on the lower decking. Soak beneath the stars with no light pollution to spoil the view – a magical experience at any time of day, but particularly as evening falls.
There is plenty to discover beyond the lodge. Explore the acres of organic farmland, follow the Treasure Trail or Children's Puzzle Trail, visit the play den or simply sit and watch the world go by. Our friendly farm animals include donkeys, goats, alpacas, pigs, Shetland ponies and geese, making a stay at Airhouses a memorable experience for children and adults alike.
Dogs are very welcome at The Buchanan. The upper decking is gated, giving your dog a secure outdoor space, and there are plenty of walks around the farm, including a livestock-free meadow for some proper running and exploring.
Airhouses is perfectly placed for exploring the Scottish Borders, with historic abbeys, castles, market towns, beaches, walks, golf, cycling, fishing and food trails nearby. Edinburgh is just 20 miles away, making it easy to enjoy the city's attractions and festivals before returning to the peace of the farm.
