The Lamont is a beautiful, spacious lodge overlooking the rolling countryside of Airhouses Farm. Sleeping up to six guests in three en-suite bedrooms, it is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a peaceful Scottish Borders escape, while being just 25 miles south of Edinburgh.
The impressive open-plan living space is designed for spending time together. High vaulted ceilings, wooden floors and floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the stunning views, while two large sofas and a comfortable leather armchair provide the perfect place to relax. There is a 40" Smart TV and Bluetooth speakers, although with views like these, you may find yourself switching the screens off and simply enjoying the peace.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay, while the dining area features a beautiful oval oak table seating six. When the sun is shining, step through the patio doors onto the raised, gated decking and enjoy an al fresco meal overlooking the farm.
The three spacious bedrooms are all en-suite. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed and luxurious wet room, while the second bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be arranged as twin beds. The third bedroom has a king-size bed and a large, deep soaking bath – perfect for a relaxing end to the day.
Outside, enjoy your own private hot tub, with no light pollution to spoil the night sky. On clear evenings, the stars are spectacular and the surrounding countryside creates a wonderfully peaceful setting. There are acres of organic farmland to explore, with a number of fenced walks where you can safely enjoy the countryside with your dog. The soft green peaks of the Lammermuir Hills provide a beautiful backdrop.
Airhouses is perfectly placed for exploring the Scottish Borders, with historic abbeys, castles, market towns, beaches, walks, golf, cycling, fishing and food trails all nearby. Edinburgh is just 25 miles away, making it easy to combine countryside relaxation with a day or evening in the city.
Our on-site farm shop stocks local produce, including high-quality ready meals, cheeses, ice cream, olives, oils and essentials, with a large gluten-free selection.
Dogs are very welcome at The Lamont. The gated decking provides a secure outdoor space and there are plenty of walks around the farm. We can also advise on fields that are suitable for dogs and free from livestock.
